Karou & Flash Ready To Rock

South Africa’s premier chutney and nagara group Flash Entertainers will, after a long absence, be performing in Johannesburg.  In the mid 1960’s a group of musicians who were working at Flash clothing in Verulam, used to play music during their lunch breaks.

In 1968, a family from Escort hired these workers or musicians to play at their function, and so Flash Entertainers were born and has since become a household name across the country. The band, which is booked out every weekend, has recorded and released numerous CD’s and will be launching their latest CD at the show. Band manager Sanjoo Kelawan, whose father was the founding member of Flash, is excited to be returning to Jhb and promises “A night of epic proportions”.

If ever there was a “MASTER” of ceremonies, it would be  Karou Charou. Having entrenched himself as one of SA’s foremost entertainers he will add spicy humour to the nights proceedings and anxious to show off his nagara moves. Now that’s something to look forward to.
