Orient Seaside Fund sends students to the beach

Nadia Mangera and Boipelo Ratlhagane.

During the July school holidays, two learners from Kiasha Park Primary School were given the opportunity to visit Durban.

Their holiday was sponsored by the Orient Seaside Fund. This organisation takes less fortunate children on an annual fully sponsored five-day trip to Durban. This year Nadia Mangera and Boipelo Ratlhagane accompanied by other children and teachers visited the ocean, Ushaka Marine World and experienced many other thrilling sights of Durban.

The learner’s lives were greatly enhanced by the trip and it has encouraged them to aim higher and work harder to accomplish their goals. This will ensure they have more opportunities to discover the vast country of SA as successful adults.

Their experience of the ocean, aquatic world and different lifestyles have broadened their views and opened up new possibilities for their careers.

Nadia and Boipelo, who visited Durban for the first time, thanked the following sponsors:

Orient Seaside Fund, Mr R Pillay (principal of Kiasha Park Primary School) for contributing towards making this trip a success, and the teachers of Kiasha Park Primary School who generously assisted in ensuring that both girls were safely transported and had all that was required for this trip.

These kind gestures will be cherished and remembered always and will certainly aid in their development and success in their future endeavours.
