UCMAS Lenasia, and the parents of two of its learners, Caden and Caitlyn Bikhani, who qualified to participate in the International UCMAS Competition 2017, to be held in Genting, Malaysia, have embarked on a fundraising drive to assist them in participating in the competition.

UCMAS appeals to the community to help these bright young stars.

Caden won first prize in the South African national competition in the Intermediate A category.

UCMAS is a unique and scientifically-proven mental development programme designed for children to develop their latent mental power at a very early age when brain development is reaching its peak.

UCMAS has a Leading Global Network of 58 countries worldwide with more than 600 000 children on the programme and is the biggest Abacus company in the World.

It is the UC International Corporation’s pioneer programme  and has enjoyed the most success to date. Along with innovative syllabus and modern educational techniques, whereby junior learners’ practice with an age-old tool (the abacus), the learning process not only stimulates the brain, but also sharpens their ability to independently perform mental calculations. UCMAS has been recognised worldwide for its proven results – with the most obvious being the learners’ mental arithmetic ability and speedy calculation after undergoing the mental arithmetic programme.

Mental arithmetic compromises arithmetic calculation regardless of the complexity, using only the brain.

The UCMAS International Competition is the pride of UCMAS. What started as a mere vision more than 20 years ago, is now a reality with thousand of learners from over 70 countries competing in this international competition every year. The International Competition has been organized successfully for the past two decades and it will continue to run for decades to come
UCMAS Centres organize their Regional Level, State Level or National Level competitions on a yearly basis.

These competitions will determine the UCMAS champions in their respective areas. These young champions would then proceed to compete against other champions around the world in the UCMAS International Competition.

Thank you all for funds raised, so far, by Gibson Pillay Learning Academy parents and teachers, where the children attend school, who have raised R15 000 for this cause from the school’s Halloween Fun Day hosted by Mr Logan (Math teacher), Mrs Rajes (HOD), Mr Pillay (Principal) and Mrs Papa (Bursar)
