BREAKING NEWS: One killed, two seriously injured after Lenasia accident

One person was killed and two others sustained serious injuries after two vehicles collided on the corner of Kingfisher and Penguin street in Lenasia Extension 1 this afternoon.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just after 3pm they found a woman lying on the pavement. It is believed that she was ejected from her vehicle,” said ER24 spokesperson,
Ineke van Huyssteen.


The woman was found to be in a critical condition.

“Advanced life support interventions were initiated but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and she was declared dead on the scene,” Van Huyssteen said.

Two other people who were seriously injured, were treated on scene and rushed to the Ahmed Kathrada Hospital.
According to those on scene, one of the vehicles was allegedly travelling down Kingfisher Street and the other turning into Kingfisher from Penguin Street.
The JMPD were on scene for investigations.
