Join transport associations says Fayzoo

Member of the REGETO Transport Association (Region G Education Transport Operators), Saleem Fayzoo is urging parents to register their children with registered transport services in the coming school year.
The reason for this, according to Fayzoo, is to clamp down on unroadworthy and unlicensed drivers who are transporting scholars.
“During the last year we lost two children as a result of unregistered, unroadworthy and unlicensed drivers in the area. The only way to eradicate this is for parent’s to use transports that are registered to an association, which in turn means all the paperwork is in order,” Fayzoo said.

He also urged transport drivers to join associations in order to have protection from these associations.
Documents needed in order to join an association would be a roadworthy certificate, tax clearance certificate, a public driving permit and a license permitting them to transport people.
“I will then provide forms obtained from the Department of Transport. A joining fee is also requested, but it’s a reasonable price,” Fayzoo said.
Those willing to join an association can contact Fayzoo on 082-854-7395.
