Help find missing deaf teen

The parents of 19-year-old Mpho Elliot Maake, who went missing from his house in Lehae Phase 2 on Friday, February 2, are pleading with the community to assist in finding their son.
According to Maake’s parents a missing person’s case was reported to the Lenasia SAPS.
“We searched Thembelihle as well as Lehae. We have put posters up everywhere in the hope that someone might have spotted him,” his mother, Christinah said.
According to Christinah, she had just bathed Mpho and was getting ready to leave for the local mall when he disappeared.

“He said he was going to the local park, but when we went to look for him we never found him,” she said.

He was last spotted walking towards Thembelihle passing through the bond houses, and was never seen again.
If he were to be found, people should approach him in a friendly manner. The teen can only communicate using sign language as he is deaf.
“People can call us directly or the police if he is found. He was supposed to have gone back to boarding school, but he is out there in the world all alone,” Christinah added.
If you have any information you should contact Christinah on 076-726-0529, Mpho’s father, Belton, on 073-825-0538, or the Lenasia SAPS on 011-213-6000.
