Pothole maintenance after heavy rains

Owing to the heavy rains across the city during the last few days, The JRA had received a number of reports regarding road defects and damages including bridges and an increased numbers of potholes.
The Johannesburg Roads Agency will embark on a regional maintenance and repair programme with a prioritized focus on potholes. The programme will be accelerated upon the appointment of Level 1 contractors. The procurement process has been concluded.
“We urge residents to be patient, potholes cannot be repaired while the roads are still wet. Teams will start repair work in the coming week and ask road users to be cooperative and cautious as the teams carry out their work,” said the JRA.
Communities are encouraged to report all road and storm related emergencies to 0860 562 874/[email protected]/twitter @MyJra or JRA&Fix Mobile App.
