Golden Eagle Community Organisation hosts Holiday Programme

A creative holiday programme was arranged for learners from Libra school and the surrounding areas. The programme included everyday conversational english, afrikaans, functional maths, treasure hunting  and lawn bowls.

Unfortunately, the lawn  bowls could not be implemented because permission to use the Lenasia Bowling Club was refused. As a  result, many of the learners who turned up on the first day were disappointed, and return for the rest of the programme. The programme was facilitated by volunteers and teachers, Madam Joey (Libra), Paul Moodley, Randy Thaver, Fatima Abed ad Sundra Moodley.

The programme focussed on pratical, hands-on activity involving inherent visual auditory, tactile and thinking skills. Fun-filled activities involved play, competition, and adventure. Children learn best through play, fun, adventure, competition, dance and music.

More programmes are planned for the future, pro-bono.

For more information contact Sundra Moodley on 011-070-8998, Randy Thaver on 084-627-4363 or Fatima Abed on 082-846611
